When students start a basic Spanish course, they expect to grasp the most useful communication tools to satisfy their needs as soon as possible.
For this reason, besides the academic work at school, basic levels emphasize hands-on experience outings to practise what they have learnt.
With the company of a teacher and previous work at school, students visit different shops, hotels, information desks, etc. and experience their first steps on language through real situations.
Basic I is the first level of Spanish. Students starting at this level do not have any previous knowledge whit the language and need to start from the very beginning.
Goals: At the end of this level, students are able to make and answer personal questions and introduce themselves to other people quite fluently. They handle simple communication rules and vocabulary (greetings, numbers, days of the week, etc.) They are able to deliver a simple physical description of a person, talk about their family and professions. They can use spanish in almost all situations at school and start to deal with some simple situations of real life (buying food, ordering at restaurants, buying bus tickets, etc.)
Once students are capable of introducing themselves and handeling a limited set of expressions, they are prepared to start Basic II.
Goals: When this level ends, students are able to deliver simple productions with the vocabulary restricted to the present tense. They start to manage themselves quite confidently in real situations. Students are able to express feelings and sensations. They acquire experience on real situations such as buying in a shop, booking a room, requesting information, etc.
BSL Spanish School organizes a number of after school activities for you can practise your Spanish while you experience our culture, enjoy the beauty of Patagonian landscape, know about its flora and fauna and have fun.
